The Evelyn Dopkins Corr Library is located upstairs in the White House Cultural Center. The purpose of the library is to provide the community with a collection of books, biographies, family histories and records. The library is open during regular office hours, not only to members of the Alta District Historical Society, but to the community as well. Some samples of the books, documents and records found in the library are: Court Records from Dinuba District Court (1921 – 1978), Orosi Civil Court (1897 – 1953), a small collection of literary works consisting of approximately 90 volumes, including novels and miscellaneous reference books, documents of local clubs, churches and businesses in Dinuba over the past 100 years, the Orosi Centennial Booklet (1988), Family Histories (10 families), Personal recollections and biographies, Biography of Senator Rose Ann Vuich, and recollections of early pioneers (4), and high school yearbooks (Dinuba and Orosi High Schools) dating back to 1908. If you are interested in visiting our library, come to the White House during regular office hours, Tuesday & Wednesday, 9 a.m. to noon, and 1 p.m. to 3 p.m. or call for an appointment at 559-591-2144
